List of medicines and essential health products

This document aims to present the latest edition of the National List of Essential Medicines (LNME) of Guinea-Bissau. The 4th edition, updated in 2019 and approved in June 2020 by Ministerial Order No. 043/GMSP/2020, was an important milestone in providing healthcare to our population. Now, with the 5th edition, proposed within the framework of the Integrated Program for the Reduction of Maternal Mortality (PIMI III), we seek to meet the growing health demands of the Guinean population. This edition of the LNME has been carefully updated based on the epidemiological reality of the country, the vision outlined by the PNDS III (National Health Development Plan), and the treatment guidelines and protocols validated by the Ministry of Health. Our mission is to ensure that essential medicines and products are available and accessible to all citizens, thus promoting quality public health. We appreciate the continued support of everyone involved in this initiative and anticipate the significant benefits that this new edition of LNME will bring to our community.
