The Results Report highlights the significant progress the Global Fund partnership made in the fight against HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria in 2023.
The results we achieved last year are based on an extraordinary record of progress: Since 2002, our partnership has reduced the combined mortality rate from AIDS, TB, and malaria by 61%. In 2023, we reached a new milestone in our journey to end HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria as public health threats: We put more people on antiretroviral treatment for HIV than ever before, found and treated more people with TB than ever before, and distributed a record number of mosquito nets to prevent malaria.
In 2023, the Global Fund made an unprecedented level of investment to build strong community and health systems, mitigating the impact of current global crises on the health programs we fund. We played a key role in supporting countries and communities to promote human rights and gender equality, removing barriers to health and ensuring access to life-saving care for those who need it most.
